Small Grants

About the grant

This grant is being run as part of small grants programme. It came around when a trustee had students who wanted to go to a university open day, but could not afford the transport to get there and so failed to visit. Its scenarios like this that often fall through the cracks, and so this grant was born.

How to apply

The first step is to read through the eligibility requirements below and make sure you meet them. Please be aware that we may ask for proof of any one of the requirements at any point. After you have confirmed you are eligible, please spend ten minutes filling in the form below. It's as simple as that.

What happens after your application?

Once we have received your application, the team will acknowledge and review it within three business days. From here, we may ask for further information to clarify on certain points or we may request more information. You will hear back the result of your application within a fortnight from the initial application/from the point you send us extra information if needed. Please be timely with your responses, if we don't hear back from you within a reasonable time, we will assume you no longer need our support and you will have to restart the application.

Who is eligible?

  1. Based in Coventry or Warwickshire

  2. Household income under £24,000 pa

  3. Aged between 5 and 24

  4. Have a U.K. bank account

  • Recreational, school/college-organised trips

  • Educational experiences

  • A scenario from which you would greatly benefit if not attended otherwise

We handle grants on an individual basis with the fundamental premise that if it is a sccenario that will help you grow as a person, but cannot afford, it will count as eligible. The final criteria is set internally.
